The Sacred Reiki Sites of Japan video was produced by William Lee Rand with Arjava Petter, who will be your tour guide. In this 40 minute video he'll be taking you to Dr. Usui's grave in Tokyo and also to Mount Kurama north of Kyoto, where Usui Sensei had his enlightening experience and first received the Reiki energy.
You will be guided along the route to each site, showing you which trains to take and how to get there, so that if you want to go there on your own, it will be easier for you at Mount Kurama. Arjava will be guiding you to the temples, shrines and sacred areas on the mountain. In addition, you'll be introduced to some of the other sacred sites.
At the end of the video, an inspirational montage attempts to convey the spiritual energies present at these sacred Reiki sites. We hope you enjoy this video and that you find it an inspiration for your Reiki practice. Now, let's join Arjava, who's just coming out of the subway station on his way to Usui Sensei's grave.
William was permitted to create this video in 2001. However, due to over-tourism, the Saioji Temple now limits visits to Usui's gravesite and memorial stone to two people at a time, with a maximum stay of five minutes. Visitors may pay their respects with a brief prayer before departing. Photography, videography, and Reiki attunements are no longer permitted. Please honor the temple's rules.
